Matthew 9:35-38

3 ways to follow the example of Jesus.

1. Serve like Jesus Served

“Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”
Matthew 9:35

2. See like Jesus Saw

“But when He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them…”
Matthew 9:36a

“Send them away into the surrounding country and villages to buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”
Mark 6:36

“‘…because they fainted and were scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.’”
Matthew 9:36b

3. Send like Jesus sent

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.’”
Matthew 9:37

“Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest, that He will send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew 9:38

If you want this new year to be your most intentional year yet, Here is what you need to do:

1. Pray intentionally
2. Set an alarm on your phone for 9:38 to help you remember to pray Matthew 9:38
3. Be willing to go where God wants you
4. Hold the rope for a missionary
5. Light it up in your neighborhood with a cross

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—everyone—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Isaiah 53:6

Until you see, you will not feel.
Until you feel, you will not know.
Until you know, you will not care.
Until you care, you will not pray.
Until you pray, you will not go.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 MEV
