Matthew 10:24-31

We’re going to look at 3 things:
Expect Misunderstanding and Suffering
All Things Revealed
And Fear God Alone.

Matthew 10:24
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master."

Hebrews 5:8-9
"Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.”

Matthew 10:25
“It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they malign the member of his household!”

Matthew 10:26
“Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.”

*With this understanding of the future, Verse 27 teaches us what we must do:
"What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops.”

Matthew 10:28
“Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Matthew 10:29-31
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
